Open Dialogue with “Silo” actor Common.

Common is an Oscar, Grammy and Emmy winner, and today on Open Dialogue with Thomas Manning, Common speaks about his work on the Apple TV+ series Silo.

He also compares and contrasts acting and recording tunes; he dives into the character of Robert Sims, discusses working with showrunner Graham Yost, and explores the joy of being an artist.

Official Synopsis:

In a ruined and toxic future, thousands live in a giant silo deep underground. After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die mysteriously, engineer Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) starts to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.

Thomas Manning is a member of the NCFCA and SEFCA, and also the co-host of the television show and radio program Meet Me at the Movies. He has served as a production assistant and voting member on the Film Selection Committee for the Real to Reel Film Festival. Additionally, he manages his own film review and interview site, The Run-Down on Movies. Recently, Manning graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a double-major in Communications and English. His passion for cinema and storytelling is rivaled only by his love for the music of Taylor Swift.
