There are some films that are so wild that once seen, cannot be forgotten. Such is the case with Sion Sono’s first English-language film, Prisoners of the Ghostland, which premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. It’s a wild mix of action, fantasy, and westerns that’s as bewildering as it is bedazzling. Released into the wild in September 2021, audiences can now understand why the film sells itself using a quote from lead actor Nicholas Cage stating, “The wildest movie I’ve ever made.” With that kind of praise, who wouldn’t want to check this film out. Official Synopsis:
