December 16th, 2016 saw the release of the eighth Star Wars film, the one-off prequel story Rogue One. It tells the story of Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and a hodgepodge of individuals who band together to steal the Death Star plans to deliver to the Rebellion. Coming off the heels of the previous year’s A Force Awakens, audiences were primed for more adventures in a galaxy far far away. For some reason, despite interesting pieces, Rogue One just didn’t connect with me. The Cine-Men co-host Darryl Mansel, on the other hand, is a big fan, so we thought we’d take the discussion to the airwaves in our latest Patreon episode of “A Pinch of Cine-Men.”
Above is just a taste of the much longer discussion. Want to hear the rest? Join the Poprika Reviews Patreon at the $5 level. For details on what $5 gets you (along with information on the other support levels), head here.
