Ron Howard’s documentary Rebuilding Paradise is the story of survival, resilience, and coming together. After a wildfire devastated the town of Paradise, California in 2018, the community had to decide how to move forward. Rebuilding Paradise is their story. On this Meet Me at the Movies special, Noel T. Manning II interviews former mayor of Paradise, Woody Culleton and Superintendent Emeritus of Paradise Schools, Michelle John about their memories, challenges and the power of togetherness. Rebuilding Paradise is a National Geographic documentary.

Noel T. Manning is a member of the CCA, SEFCA and the NCFCA and is also the host of the television program and radio show Meet Me at the Movies. He’s the founder of the Real to Reel Film Fest and is an adjunct professor of film studies. When he’s not embracing mainstream, indie, international, documentary or art films, he’s digging into the world of cinema by chatting with principle individuals involved in various aspects of the filmmaking industry.
