From California to North Carolina and many grooves in between, filmmakers Kevin Smokler and Christopher Boone take audiences onto a journey into the power of music and resurrection of the classic medium of vinyl records in the doc Vinyl Nation.

On episode 402 of Meet me at the Movies, Smokler and Boone sound off with insights, and offer audible liner notes on the making of this doc. Co-hosts Noel T. Manning II & Jay Phelps spins a few tales of life growing up and working in the music industry where vinyl was king.

Noel T. Manning is a member of the CCA, SEFCA and the NCFCA and is also the host of the television program and radio show Meet Me at the Movies. He’s the founder of the Real to Reel Film Fest and is an adjunct professor of film studies. When he’s not embracing mainstream, indie, international, documentary or art films, he’s digging into the world of cinema by chatting with principle individuals involved in various aspects of the filmmaking industry.
