Director Gabe Polsky (producer and director for award-winning docs for projects like Red Army and I Search of Greatness) chats with Noel T. Manning about Red Penguins, the documentary which explores Russia in the early 90’s through the backdrop of American’s influence within the national Hockey team for Russia.
Through masterful editing, dozens of interviews, archive footage, and engaging music, Polsky offers a look at Russia during a time of transition from the Cold War-era Soviet Union to a Capitalist-experiment society. He’s the founder of the Real to Reel Film Fest and is an adjunct professor of film studies.
