The Cine-Men, Episode 30: Period Films

Episode 30 of The Cine-Men dares to travel through time to examine films taking place outside of the time in which they were filmed. That’s right, we’re discussing our favorite period films! To make things extra special, Douglas and Darryl are joined by Nicole Ackman, fellow NCFCA member, contributor to multiple publications, and co-host of the Petticoats & Poppies Podcast. Theirs is a delightful conversation about what constitutes a period film, Nicole’s experience with film, and why recent adaptions Little Women and EMMA. have no reason to be as amazing as they are.

Episode Description:

Cine-Men hosts Douglas and Seed are joined by guest Nicole Ackman to discuss films they’ve seen recently, as well as some of their favorite period pieces!
