Rapper, writer, and filmmaker Rapman chats with Noel T. Manning II about his feature film debut Blue Story on this Meet Me at the Movies extra.
Blue Story was released in the UK in November, and is now available in the U.S. through on-demand platforms. Rapman was sought after by Jeffrey Katzenberg after Rapman’s Youtube channel exploded with millions of views of original Shiro’s Story trilogy. Rapman’s unique approach to short-form narrative and rap music has inspired other storytellers to follow.
Noel T. Manning is a member of the CCA, SEFCA and the NCFCA and is also the host of the television program and radio show Meet Me at the Movies. He’s the founder of the Real to Reel Film Fest and is an adjunct professor of film studies. When he’s not embracing mainstream, indie, international, documentary or art films, he’s digging into the world of cinema by chatting with principle individuals involved in various aspects of the filmmaking industry.
