A Conversation with actor Angus MacFadyen.

Scottish actor Angus MacFadyen had his feature film breakthrough as Robert the Bruce in the Oscar-winning Braveheart. In 2020, he revisits that role in a film where he also serves as screenwriter. Noel T. Manning II interviews McFadyen on this episode of Cinemascene as they retrace the journey into bringing the biographical figure back to life on screen in the feature film Robert the Bruce.

Robert the Bruce is available on VOD beginning April 24th, 2020.


Noel T. Manning is a member of the CCA and the NCFCA and is also the host of the television program and radio show Meet Me at the Movies. He’s the founder of the Real to Reel Film Fest and is an adjunct professor of film studies. When he’s not embracing mainstream, indie, international, documentary or art films, he’s digging into the world of cinema by chatting with principle individuals involved in various aspects of the filmmaking industry.
